Halifax FC Women face West Bromwich Albion on Sunday afternoon, in their latest fixture of the Northern Premier Division. The fixture will be the Eagles’ 4th league game of the season and are looking to continue their immaculate, unbeaten form into the game. Halifax have won 2 and drawn 1 of their league games so far this season, kicking off their season in brilliant fashion and beating some very tough opponents, specifically the likes of Huddersfield and Liverpool Feds.

Kick off at the Valley Stadium (Redditch United FC) will be at 3pm as league action returns to the FAWNL Northern Premier Division for another scintillating round of games to be played.

Halifax are heading into the game after beating Liverpool Feds 2-1 at the Clayborn Stadium last weekend, in what was a fantastic performance and a great result to maintain their unbeaten run in all competitions this season. Lucy Sowerby continued Halifax’s trend of late winners with a goal of her own in the 89th minute to claim the 3 points in dramatic fashion. Halifax will be looking to maintain this form and use it against West Brom.

Rob Mitchell’s side will be looking to continue their fantastic performances on Sunday.

Sowerby leads the celebrations after her late goal.

Speaking ahead of the game, Mitchell said:

“They (West Brom) will be full of confidence.”

“We’ve got to go down there an be ruthless to get another 3 points on the board.”

West Brom welcome Halifax on the back of a scintillating 4-1 win at home against Huddersfield Town. An impressive performance at their home ground. West Brom capitalised on a Huddersfield red card to secure the win and the 3 points with it. They will be looking to carry this win and their home advantage into the game on Sunday. We should see an exciting matchup between both Halifax and West Brom with both teams in winning form.
