Coming up this week!

This week see’s Rob Mitchell’s side face a double header following on from Sunday’s disappointing defeat away to Stoke City in the FAWNL.

First up on Thursday we are excited to host Australian opposition in the form of Football Canberra Women’s Under 21’s Squad.

Football Canberra have bought a squad of 21 dedicated women to the North West of England for a ten-day tour encompassing training, matches, and excursions. We are honoured to have been chosen to host our visitors and to give them the opportunity to test themselves against Tier 3 opposition.

The squad, aged from 16 to 20, all play in the Capital Football National Premier League, the top level of Women’s football in the Australian Capital Territory and its surrounding regions, and bring a wealth of youth experience.

Focus then turns to Sunday and the small matter of our rearranged League Plate Quarter-Final clash against Tier 4 side Chorley. With the original fixture postponed due to a waterlogged pitch we now face each other with the winner progressing to the Semi-Final stage of the competition to face either Cheadle Town Stingers or Durham Cestria.
