About

Becky is an award winning footballing volunteer, and her role as Welfare Officer here at Halifax is just one of many voluntary football roles she currently holds; as a player, coach, referee and member of the backroom staff at various clubs!

Becky’s first team was King Cross Juniors, and she is still playing as goalkeeper for Halifax Friendly Football Belles. The footballing inspiration that keeps Becky motivated to stay in the game is her nephew, who is also a player and referee.

Becky is a massive football fan, as demonstrated by her dedication to following the Lionesses and various other teams around the country during the Women’s Euros 2022. Becky watched 19+ matches in just under 4 weeks during the tournament at grounds as far afield as St Mary’s Stadium, Southampton, culminating in being one of the lucky ones who watched the Lionesses crowned champions at Wembley Stadium.
