Halifax FC Women are delighted to announce the return of Karri Chan to the club after signing for the 2025/26 season.
Karri who previously spent a period with the club on loan after signing in January 2024 from then parent club Blackburn Rovers makes a permanent return to the club after spending the 24/25 season with AFC Fylde. Karri made 27 appearances and scored 4 goals last season for the Coasters.
Karri is a Hong Kong international who also boasts a spell at Stoke City on her CV and she now makes her return to Halifax looking to play a big part in the season ahead!
Manager Rob Mitchell gave his thoughts on securing Karri’s return to the club:
“I’m delighted to welcome Karri back to the Club! She’s a fantastic person and player!”
“She’s had plenty of experience in women’s football since the conclusion of her loan which will only benefit her and us moving forward. I think she’s matured a lot as a player, she looks a lot stronger and physically capable of succeeding in tier 3 this season.”
“I’m really looking forward to watching her play, she has excellent social awareness and ball carrying ability, she’s a neat and tidy player who likes to make things happen, this will only compliment the squad that we are putting together and allow Karri to have a big impact in the final third.”
“The biggest thing that drew us to Karri apart from her from her footballing ability was her personality, she’s such a humble and hard working individual, she’s a role model to the junior players coming through and she’s always striving to be better which for me is a coaches dream!”
We spoke to Karri on completion of her move:
“I’m really happy to be back with Halifax and I’m really looking forward for the season to start.”
“My aim for the season personally is to improve myself on and off the pitch and for the team to get some really good results in the league.”
“Since my last spell at the club, I think I’ve gained some experience in playing women’s football. It has helped me with my confidence on the pitch and my understanding of the game.”
Welcome back to Halifax Karri and we look forward to seeing you in action soon!
