Kevin is not only First Team Assistant, but is also an integral member of the backroom team, working alongside Rob to make sure that everything runs smoothly off the pitch in his role as Club Secretary. Kevin is a hard worker who is at every meeting, training session and match, and will get involved in any aspect of the club and do anything that needs doing to give us the best chance of success.

Back home in Mauritius, Kevin played mostly for Sporting Boys of Rivière du Rempart and a couple of other clubs in the Mauritius Football Association league, before making the move to the UK to undertake his MSc in London at Brunel University. After that, Kevin moved to Leeds and continued playing in the West Riding League, until a fracture of the tibia and torn quad led led to him hanging up his boots. Unable to play, Kevin began his coaching career in 2016/17 as Reserve Manager at Barnsley Ladies FC, before making the move to Halifax FC Women. Kevin is currently working through his UEFA coaching licenses alongside his doctorate in Leadership, Governance and People Management at Leeds Beckett university.

Kevin’s footballing inspiration is Argentinian legend Lionel Messi. His best football memory as a player is playing for Sporting Boys, one of the oldest clubs in the country, alongside some great players and legends of Mauritian football. As a coach, Kevin’s best football memory is gaining promotion to Tier 3 of women’s football; an achievement that not only requires the results on the pitch, but also a lot of paperwork behind the scenes.
