Halifax FC Women face Sporting Khalsa on Sunday 10th September, in the latest round of fixtures in the FA Women’s National League cup.

Halifax FC Women will face Sporting Khalsa in the next round of the FAWNL cup, after a convincing 1-6 win against FC United of Manchester with a convincing 1-6 win in the previous round.
Kick off at the Leading Edge Clayborn Stadium (Liversedge) will be at 2pm as cup action returns to West Yorkshire.
In the last round, Georgia Stevens impressed with a hattrick in the game to see the Eagles progress.

Halifax head into the game after a dramatic, late win against Huddersfield in midweek, which secured the Eagles’ first win of their league campaign. Darcie Greene scored the winner with a brilliant 94th minute strike from outside the box. The Eagles morale is high, and will be looking to continue their winning form.
Rob Mitchell’s side will be looking to continue their run into the cup, aiming to get as far into the competition as they can.
A win against Khalsa would be valuable for the Eagles to keep their impressive form running. With two wins and a draw from their last three games, the Eagles are soaring so far this season.
Sporting Khalsa, who play in the Division One Midlands league, will be looking to cause a huge upset against Halifax, who are likely to be resting players who played midweek. They are welcomed to Liversedge on the back of a crushing 2-3 defeat to Boldmere St. Michaels, however they currently sit 3rd in the league with 6 points in 3 games.
