Halifax FC Women will play Stoke City on Sunday afternoon, in their latest fixture in the Northern Premier Division. The fixture will be the seventh game of their season and their fourth game in the league campaign. The Eagles are yet to lose a game so far, earning 5 wins and 1 draw in all competitions so far, which is a very impressive start to the season.

Kick off at the Leading edge Clayborn stadium will be at 2pm.

Halifax are heading into the game with confidence, as they have already beaten Stoke 2-0 at home only last week in the FAWNL cup. An Ellie White brace saw Halifax progress into the next round of the cup. It was an impressive performance, particularly in the first half, where Halifax seemed to dominate in the early parts of the game. The second half was less lively, but the Eagles made up for it in defence, thwarting every attack that went their way. This win will give Halifax huge confidence heading into the game, but they will not approach the game with complacency.

Rob Mitchell’s side will be looking to continue their unbeaten run, as they surge their way up the league table.

Ellie White (Right) Celebrates her brace.

Speaking ahead of the game, Mitchell said:

“We’ve just got to concentrate on ourselves and not worry too much about what Stoke are going to do”.

Stoke are welcomed back to Liversedge after having lost to Halifax last week, they will be looking to rectify last weeks result and turn it into three points. This will not be easy, however, as Halifax have the home advantage as well as the superior form.
