Halifax are excited to announce the signing of Farah Crompton with forward putting pen to paper on a deal to link up with Rob Mitchell’s side!
The forward arrives with plenty of experience at Tier 2 from her time with Blackburn Rovers. She now links up with her new teammates as they look to climb the table starting with a trip to Derby County next weekend!
Manager Rob Mitchell is delighted to get this deal completed:
“I’m delighted to welcome Farah to the club, she’s been in for a few weeks now and really settling in. She brings proven WSL2 quality and goals which is something we’re really lacking.”
“She’s an outstanding person and quality footballer who will help us to get to the next level.”
“I think this is a signing of intent and shows just how well backed we are as a club, this doesn’t guarantee success but it helps us to lay the foundations and brings stability for the future, Farah will be a big part of this and I can’t wait to get her on the pitch and back enjoying her football and finding the back of the net!”
We caught up with our new signing to get her thoughts on the move:
Congratulations and welcome to Halifax! How does it feel now everything is confirmed?
“It feels amazing to have everything confirmed — I’m really excited to get started and to be part of Halifax.”
Can you tell us a bit about how the move came about and what was it that interested you in what’s happening here at Halifax?
“Once conversations started it felt like the right fit straight away. What really drew me in was the ambition at Halifax and the sense that something special is being built here. It’s exciting to be part of that journey.”
You’ve been around your new teammates and coaching staff for a few weeks now. Are you excited to get out on the pitch and playing?
“The last few weeks have been great for getting to know everyone and settling in, but nothing beats being out on the pitch. I’m really looking forward to getting started properly.”
We think the fans are going to enjoy watching you play, how would you describe your playing style?
“My game is built on pace and movement . I like to get in behind defenders, stretch the play, and make the most of opportunities in front of goal”
You’ve got a lot of experience at a higher level from your time at Blackburn, what are your expectations and aims for this season both as a team and personally?
“At Blackburn I learned the demands of playing at a high level, and I want to bring that here. This season, as a team, the aim has to be to keep improving and challenging the table. On a personal level, I want to make an impact straight away — with goals, hard work, and by being someone the team can rely on.”
